As the new century approached, I found myself looking for a way to put all my new skills to use, and the idea of Supportive Solutions was formalised. I wanted to share my computer skills and creative skills with people who needed them, for as modest a fee as possible. My business idea was accepted for a New Enterprise Incentive Scheme, which provided me with business training and support through the first months of the business.

During 2002 it became clear that my health was an obstacle to the original business plan. Since that time Supportive Solutions has been focusing more on those services that can be delivered 100% online electronically. In December of 2002, Self Supportive Solutions was created as an offshoot business.
